RTMReleased To Manufacturing; It is the original, released build version of the product, i.e. what you get on the DVD or when you download the ISO file from MSDN.

CUCumulative Update; Cumulative updates contain the bug fixes and enhancements–up to that point in time–that have been added since the previous Service Pack release and will be contained in the next service pack release. Installation of the Cumulative Update is similar to the installation of a Service Pack. Cumulative Updates are not fully regression tested.

SPService Pack; much larger collection of hotfixes that have been fully regression tested. In some cases delivers product enhancements.

GDRGeneral Distribution Release; GDR fixes should not contain any of the CU updates.

QFEQuick Fix Engineering; QFE updates include CU fixes.

Bunun nedeni genellikle SQL Server'in TCP/IP protokolü kapalı olabilir. SQL Server Configuration Manager üzerinden TCP/IP etkinleştirilmeli ve port 1433 ayarlanmalıdır.

Sorun: Yetkilendirme Sorunu
Veritabanına erişim sırasında 'Login failed for user' hatası alındığında, kullanıcı adı ve şifre doğruysa, SQL Server Authentication modunun açık olduğundan emin olunmalıdır.

Microsoft SQL Server Version List (MSSQL Server Database Issues and Solutions)

Knight Online Private Server developers must prioritize the stability and version compatibility of database systems used on their servers. Especially during Knight Online Database (KO DB) operations, incorrect selection of Microsoft SQL Server versions may lead to numerous runtime errors. In this article, we will examine the versions that MSSQL Server has provided throughout its history, analyze database issues, and provide solutions.

Microsoft SQL Server Versions

SQL Server 2000: This is the first-generation database server. Although no longer supported today, it is still used in some legacy KO Server Files projects. It must be run in compatibility mode.
SQL Server 2005: Still preferred in certain projects. It can work compatibly with older structures in KO Emulator software.
SQL Server 2008 / R2: Has widespread usage. Often preferred in Knight Online Source code implementations.
SQL Server 2012: Introduced modern query features. Can be preferred in KO DB updates.
SQL Server 2014-2016-2017: Includes performance improvements and security enhancements. Offers faster data processing during KO Development phases.
SQL Server 2019-2022: These are the latest versions. However, they might show incompatibility with some older KO Server Files. Therefore, careful selection is required.

Common MSSQL Issues and Solutions

Issue: Connection Error
In Knight Online servers, connection errors such as 'connection timeout' or 'login failed' typically occur when database connections cannot be established. The reason is often that the TCP/IP protocol is disabled in SQL Server. TCP/IP must be enabled via SQL Server Configuration Manager and port 1433 configured.

Issue: Authorization Problem
When accessing the database, if the error 'Login failed for user' occurs despite correct username and password, ensure that SQL Server Authentication mode is enabled. If the SA account is inactive, a new user should be created or connection established using Windows Authentication.

Issue: Database Lockout
In certain KO Server Files, database schemas may be missing or conflicting. In such cases, ALTER or DROP operations may fail. If an Exclusive lock exists, other connections must be terminated.

KO DB Update Strategies

In Knight Online private servers, database updates must be handled carefully. First, a backup should be taken and tested in a staging environment. Specifically, tables corresponding to item.bin, mob.bin, and npc.bin files must not be directly deleted or modified. ALTER TABLE commands should be applied cautiously.

MSSQL Performance Tips

If Index configuration is not properly done, significant delays may occur during KO PVP or KO Bot operations. Indexing is recommended especially on Character, Inventory, and Guild tables. Additionally, Query Plan analyses should be performed periodically and slow queries optimized.

Knowledge of MSSQL is critically important for Knight Online developers. Correct version selection, proper configuration, and regular maintenance directly affect your server's stability and performance. For more KO Dev guides and Knight Online Source solutions, follow KnightLobby.
